Silver 101 — Common Questions
Why not 999 fine silver?
Pure 999 silver is too soft for jewellery — rings bend, chains break. 925 sterling adds just enough copper to make it wearable for a lifetime while keeping 92.5% silver purity.
How is it different from silver-plated?
Silver-plated jewellery is a base metal (brass, copper) coated with a thin silver layer that wears off in months. Our 925 sterling is solid silver — through and through, forever.
Will 925 silver tarnish?
All silver tarnishes slightly over time — this is natural oxidation, not a defect. A quick polish with a soft cloth restores full shine. Worn regularly, silver actually tarnishes less.
